I was born just before midnight on 12 June 1957 in Rose Cottage, Llantrythyd in Wales which was the home of my Dad's parents Suzannah and George Hole. I know that it was just before midnight because my Mum made a point of telling me. Apparently, the midwife went on her break some time after 11.00pm thinking that I would not be born until the early hours of the morning. However, I obviously had other ideas and my grandmother (my Mum's Mum) ended up delivering me! According to my Mum, when the midwife returned after midnight she wanted to put in her notes that I was born on 13 June (presumably because she should have been present at the birth). My Mum was having none of this and insisted that she put the correct date. My Mum was quite superstitious and I am guessing that she didn't want my birthday to be on the 13th! Silly I know, and my niece Michelle would be the first to tell you that some of the nicest people were born on the 13th!
